appraisal. at present is a half-yearly publication examining people-facing sectors — the culture, products, services, platforms, and interactions through which operators meet the people they serve. it gathers multi-disciplinary, community-driven research, articles, and multi-media content, seeking to spark conversations that challenge, inform, and inspire.

each issue is monothematic, drawing analysis and opinion from an international pool of contributors: individuals informed by different disciplines and geographies, appraising the present with broad reach and local depth. first published in october 2020, AP is addressed to those who shape and steward these encounters — and to those who wish to explore the present moment from multiple vantage points.

appraisal. at present.  is an initiative of the management consultancy praxis, produced independently from client work — a space for the firm and its ecosystem to confront ideas and exchange learnings. editorial content is free from commercial influence: stakeholders have no role in shaping it, and contributors have no involvement in advertising.
